Australian Student Visa (subclass 500)

This visa allows you to:

  • Study in Australia at an accredited educational institution.
  • Stay in Australia for up to 5 years.
  • Work up to 48 hours a fortnight while attending your course (depending on your course of study).
  • Include family members in your application.
  • Travel in and out of Australia.

Eligibility criteria: 

  • Within 7 days of arriving in Australia, you must notify your education provider of your residential address.
  • You must maintain enrolment in the registered course at the same or a higher level of the course for which you were granted your visa.
  • You must maintain satisfactory attendance and progression through your course.
  • You must comply with all the conditions of your visa.

Student Guardian Visa (subclass 590)

This is a temporary visa that allows parents, legal guardians, or relatives to live in Australia with an international student who is under 18 years of age. The guardian is responsible for providing care and support for the student.
